On March 3 the Truffle Hunting in Meteora starts

The new season of the Truffle Hunting in Meteora starts on March 3 and ends on October 31, 2024.

It is a multi-award winning activity organized by the Natural History Museum of Meteora and Mushroom Museum in the forests of the region, where contact with nature is combined with the discovery of this very expensive underground mushroom, but also with unique gastronomic delights.

Specially trained dogs find it, and then the truffle is transformed into a delicious truffle dish, which visitors enjoy in the heart of the overgrown oak forest.

More specifically, the Truffle Hunting tour includes:

1. Truffle hunting with specially trained dogs

2. Mushroom tasting in the forest

3. Cooking and lunch of truffle pasta

4. Visit and tour of the Museum

The meal is accompanied by an excellent wine, soft drinks, water etc.

The Truffle Hunting can be attended by groups, individuals and special rates are offered to schools. There are also private tours.

On March the dates that visitors of the area can take part are on the 3rd, 17th, 18th, 24th, 25th and 31st of the month.
