The 4th annual Mushroom Festival on early September

The Natural History Museum of Meteora and Mushroom Museum organizes the 4th annual Mushroom Festival at Kalambaka, on September 7, 8 and 9.

Mushroom and truffle delicacies by dozens of chefs, truffle and mushroom hunting in the surrounding mountains, mushroom identifications, seminars, activities for children and of course many cultural events. All these for free!

This is an offer from the Museum to its visitors, which aims to highlight the high nutritional value of mushrooms and in the same time, it tries to show the importance of adding this very nutritious fruit of nature in the daily diet.

There are great expectations for this year’s feast!

The event is supported by the Region of Thessaly, the Municipality of Meteora, and the Greek mushroom societies.
