Let’s the truffle hunting begin! The last weekend of February the first tours

This year’s Truffle Hunting at Meteora season starts at the end of February. Carnival holidays and the increased demand brought the beginning of the activity a few days earlier than usual. Thus, visitors of the area can join a tour and live a once-in-a-lifetime experience on the 26^th & the 27^th of February.

Our museum as the host of the Truffle Hunting, promises unforgettable moments, during the activity’s program, both during the finding of this very expensive underground mushroom, by specially trained dogs, and during the lunch with the truffle pasta, which is cooked on-site, in the forest, with the truffles found by the truffle dogs just before.

The tour itinerary lasts about 3 hours and includes:

1. Truffle hunting in the forest with specially trained dog(s)
2. Mushroom tasting in the forest
3. Truffle pasta dish cooking in the forest and lunch, accompanied by excellent wine and soft drinks
4. Visit and guided tour to the Museum
