Nine new awards for the Museum!
The Museum of Natural History of Meteora and the Museum of Mushrooms awards are continuous. Every year new awards are added to its collection, and reaching the 40 awards in total until today! These awards are either for the Museum or its products, but also for its activities.
The Museum has won nine awards in the past two months. The first three are from the largest institution of tourism awards in Greece, the Tourism Awards. This year, and for the fourth consecutive year, wins two gold awards: one for all its activity in the category of Museums and the other for its unique activity, Truffle Hunting at Meteora, in the category of Rural Tourism. The Museum’s products range won the bronze award in the category of Local Products.
In addition, it won a total of six new awards in the MEDITERRANEAN TASTE AWARDS LONDON 2022 (MTA) competition. Specifically, it won a PLATINUM (Milk Chocolate with Ganoderma lucidum and Hemp seeds), three GOLDs (Balsamic Vinegar with White Truffle, Slices of black truffle in oil, Fleur de sel with Black truffle), two SILVERs (EVOO with Black Truffle, and Boletus (Porcini) in oil). Note here that the products of the Museum have received 25 awards to date!
Referring to these awards, the director of the Museum, Mr Nikos Pallas, stated: “These awards are a justification of the efforts of all the people and collaborators of the Museum, while at the same time we give strength to continue for even better services.”
