The 1st Panhellenic Truffle Festival is now history! It started on Thursday 8 June and was closed on Sunday 11 of the same month, in Kalambaka. Despite adverse weather conditions, such as rain on the peak day of the event, Saturday, and while everything was ready for the serving of the food, the success was tremendous. The participation of the people was amazing on all four days of the event, and everyone involved in the event did their best to make it a success.

The Natural History Museum of Meteora and Mushroom Museum thanks once again all those who contributed to this effort – the Region of Thessaly, the Municipality of Meteora, the sponsors and supporters, the volunteers, the artists, Mr. Lazarou, who put his own personal stamp on the event, the scientists and members of the mushroom communities organizations that held the seminars, the Museum staff, and the media, whose publications made the Festival known throughout Greece.
