The 2nd Panhellenic Truffle Festival starts tomorrow, Thursday, October 10, in Kalambaka. The events will take place in Rigas Feraios Square and will last until Sunday, October 13. The Festival is organised by the Natural History Museum of Meteora and Mushroom Museum in cooperation with the Municipality of Meteora, while the events are supported by the Region of Thessaly.

During the Festival, visitors have a lot to learn, through participation in seminars on truffles and mushrooms, while on Friday and Saturday they will be entertained by Evita & the Val Boys and Manitarock.

On Sunday, they will enjoy some of the best local dance clubs, and there is a special emphasis on entertaining the little ones on all days of the Festival, powered by Magic Castle Entertainment.

Also, throughout the Festival, truffle cultivators and truffle hunters will be on hand to provide information and answer visitors’ questions at their stands on site.

The highlight of the Festival is Saturday, when some 40 chefs will cook truffle and mushroom dishes for visitors in the square, while two leading figures of gastronomy, Elias Mamalakis and Nikos Sarantos, will be awarded.

It should be noted here that everything is offered FREE of charge to visitors.
